Steadfast?

This week both flew past and drug on. Ever have one of those weeks?
Bible study yesterday was awesome as always. I have such a great
bunch of ladies in my little group. Elderly women of faith who have
served Him their whole lives.
We read the verse "Create in me a new heart O God and renew a steadfast
spirit with in me." (psalm 51:10)
It was actually read in King James which said "renew a right spirit within me"
but for some reason that didn't seem right to me.
This lead me on a search for why I like the word steadfast.

Adjective: Resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering
